Supervisor Responsibilities.
You will lead a team of young people in a variety of community projects and help them learn new job skills, develop their leadership abilities and positively impact the community.
To succeed in this role, you must be a strong leader with a passion for youth development. You must also be organized, efficient and have excellent communication skills.
Job Requirements
- High School Diploma
- San Diego County resident
- Proof of eligibility to work
- Driver's license & excellent record (Class A or B preferred)
- Must be insurable by Urban Corps
- Must submit to criminal background screening
- Willingness to train, mentor and coach Corpsmembers
Experience in some or all
- Applying pesticides and fertilizers
- Irrigation installation, maintenance and troubleshooting
- Recycling and/or landscaping
- Safely operating, maintaining and troubleshooting landscaping tools
- Planting/managing the appearance and health of shrubs and trees
