Environmental
Services
Our Environmental Services Department trains young adults to protect and maintain the urban environment in and around San Diego County through conservation and preservation projects.
While on the job, Corpsmembers learn how to properly plant trees, identify native and non-native species and how to remove invasive plants.
Corpsmembers work to clean San Diego’s waterways, restore riparian ecosystems, build trails, control erosion by means of BMPs (Best Management Practices), construct crib steps and restore the habitat of canyons, parks and wetlands.
