A corpsmember is someone participating in our FREE Urban Corps’ program – working toward their high school diploma, while also participating in our job training program.

Corpsmembers earn a paycheck working four days per week (32 paid hours) and attend our onsite school one day per week to earn a high school diploma. Due to Covid-19, classes are currently online.

You will learn professional skills working on environmental, construction, landscaping and community improvement projects and have a chance to earn industry-recognized certifications.

Our high school is accelerated and focuses on credit recovery. Breakfast and lunch are provided. Class sizes are small, graduations are held two times per year, and assistance is provided with resumes, job placement and transition to college.

After graduation, our staff will work with you and employer partners to help place you in a job and/or enroll in school. On average, 70% of our graduates have a job within 3 months of exiting the program.

“Urban Corps has given me something to be proud of. They opened my eyes and made me a better person. Now instead of asking for a hand, I’m holding one out.”
